Charlotte NC is always a beautiful location for a wedding. This wedding is near and dear to my heart. I have known Alex, the groom for almost 26 years. My husband has known him even longer, since high school. Alex met Sally a few years ago. I connected immediately with Sally when I met her. She is a Colorado girl like I am and she reminded me so much of my family and friends back there. Alex and Sally’s wedding was a huge celebration mixing Sally’s long time friends with Alex’s long time friends. Their family and friends traveled from all over the country to get here. Most of the guests grew up together. There was so much love and energy that day surrounding Alex and Sally. I love how they incorporated so much of their personalities into the decor of the wedding. Alex is a musician and owns his own business. Sally is a retired school teacher. They are both very creative and spiritual people. Their decor reflects every aspect of this. They rented a friends video/photography studio called Studio 1212. It was perfect for them! They have so many talented musician friends. Beth Brown who performs under the name of Ivy Sky played the harp during their ceremony and Marie Mascara serenaded them with her lovely voice singing an opera song just after the cake cutting. So many wonderful personal touches went into this day. Here are some of my favorite images that we captured. I had 3 other photographers with me to photograph this wedding so we could capture as much as possible between the couple and all their family and friends. Special thanks to Linda Packard, Terri Lynn Smith and Juan Carlos Zambrano For helping me capture this wedding and all the beautiful memories!
