Family portraits – Luca & Dean – Ann’s Photography

by Ann Norment· December 02, 2016· in Family Sessions· 0 comments tags: Family Portraits Charlotte NC, Family Portraits Fort Mill SC
Family portraits can be a daunting task, shopping for clothing, getting the kids ready for their session looking their best, hoping for them to be on their best behavior and follow directions.  Our sessions are always fun and pressure free.  Kids will be kids and we always get what we need out of the session to create and deliver amazing portraits for you reflecting your kids personalities. What happens though when a change of life baby is born and two years later, his nephew is born? Well…they become brothers and best friends instead of uncle and nephew! Luca is now 6 and Dean is 4.  I have been photographing both of these young men for several years now. We had so much fun pretending to be sledding!  Enjoy the silliness between these two!  I sure did! www.anormentphotography.com Ann’s Photography on Facebook Ann’s Photography on Instagram

Newborn Photographer – Zachary and Kathryn – Ann’s Photography

by Ann Norment· November 27, 2016· in Uncategorized· 0 comments
Newborn Photographer Ann Norment of Ann’s Photography located in Laurel Portrait Studio, downtown Fort Mill SC loves to capture this very special time, your newborn changes so quickly and the first few weeks of life is the time to capture that look before it fades. Newborn Photography is a highly specialized skill that takes a lot of training to make sure your child is safe during their session. When searching for a Newborn Photographer, it is important to know that hands will always be on your child and to understand that many poses and images are not possible without composite work which is captured using a tripod and having hands on the child during poses that are not something a newborn can achieve on their own. The artwork is completed in editing removing hands and compositing a few frames into one portrait. Newborn sessions generally take approximately 3 hours but can last longer.  For best results, you will want to feed your baby when you arrive for the session. Please see our Newborn FAQ sheet for a successful newborn portrait session.  Dress your newborn in loose clothing that will be easy to remove by your Newborn Photographer. Once you arrive, you […]

Underwater Maternity – Rainbow Baby – Charlotte Photographer

by Ann Norment· September 14, 2016· in Uncategorized· 0 comments
Underwater maternity sessions are something I have been wanting to do.  I love to photograph brides and grooms underwater and have photographed a professional mermaid in the ocean as well as a pool.  I was so excited when Kathryn contacted me to create an underwater maternity session for her!  Kathryn and Zachary lost their twins at 10 weeks into the pregnancy.  This is their rainbow baby.  For those that are not familiar with this term, a rainbow baby is the child that is born after the loss of a previous child that did not survive the pregnancy or birth. When Kathryn told me they were having a rainbow baby and that they wanted an underwater maternity session, I started to search for the perfect rainbow maternity gown for underwater.  I discovered Picture Perfect Bowtique who created the rainbow dress featured in the portraits. After every storm, there is a rainbow.  It gives us hope that the storm we weathered, made our faith stronger. The lord will bless us with a new life and love and our hearts are filled with joy! The purple dress used in this underwater maternity session was created by   Sew Trendy Accessories To schedule your appointment for us […]

LGBT Wedding – Melissa and Laura

by Ann Norment· June 22, 2016· in Published, Weddings· 0 comments tags: Charlotte NC Wedding, LGBT Wedding, Wedding Photographer Charlotte NC
Melissa and Laura had a lovely LGBT Wedding and were married on Laura’s family farm where they produce cheese in Wisconsin.  The barn had not been used in a few years and had been converted into a country store at one point but then closed.  Melissa and Laura had a DIY style wedding.  All the center pieces were wildflowers collected from the family property.  The wedding bouquets and bridesmaid bouquets came from a flower farm in Milwaukee.  Melissa’s sister and several of the bridesmaids put the flowers together into all the bouquets.  The girls and their family purchased material to drape from the open beam high ceilings cascading them down.  They used hay bales for their guests to sit on during the ceremony just outside of the barn where the reception was held.  All their friends pitched in and hand painted the signs.  They used mason jars with labels that they had hand written each guests name on. This was our first LGBT Wedding and I really had so much fun with these two, their families and all of their amazing friends! I look forward to photographing many more LGBT Weddings in the future!
