Duke Mansion is steeped in tradition from an earlier time in Charlotte’s history.  The home dates back to 1915 when it was built in the newly created Myers Park Neighborhood. It is one of the finest examples of Colonial Revival Architecture in the area. The fountain was built in 1919 as well as the home was expanded to triple in size by James B. “Buck” Duke when he purchased it. The Lodge at Ballantyne has a retreat atmosphere.  It teleports you to the mountains and is in the style of a skiing or hunting lodge. It has spectacular views, is multi leveled, has a large covered outdoor patio space on the second floor with rocking chairs and tables to sit around and enjoy.
